Welcome to KH

In KH there are 18 children who love to learn from new experiences and are always keen to share the clever work they do. In KH we emphasise the importance of always “having-a-go” and doing the best you can.

Children have homework activities to complete each week and can earn awards by completing this and returning it every Friday.

On Friday we have library with Mr Duck. It is important for children to bring their library bag so they can borrow a new book each week.

In Library we also do technology lessons and we’re learning some computer skills such as logging on and off with our name and password, learning to use a mouse competently and creating and drawing in the “Paint” program.

Every second Monday afternoon, we have Aboriginal cultural lessons.  Mrs Floyd is teaching us the Wonnarua language and sharing Dreamtime stories with us.

This semester we have Gymnastics on Wednesday morning and instructors are teaching us some special skills.

On Thursday we have ES1 games and sport.

On Thursday afternoon ES1 have PBL - Zones of Regulation.lessons to learn about feelings and how we can solve problems and manage our own behaviour.

We are very busy in Kindergarten so it is important that we follow the school values of Respect , Responsibility and  Learning so we are always ready to learn and happy at school so we can learn effectively.
