Welcome to KR

In KR there are 16 children who think of others and love to learn through interesting and exciting experiences.  In KR we always try our best and strive to follow the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Learning so that we can enjoy all of the wonderful opportunities and activities Kindergarten has to offer.

Each day we participate in lots of experiences which help us learn and grow including literacy groups, number activities, technology and mindfulness exercises.

Every second Monday afternoon, we have Aboriginal cultural lessons. Mrs Floyd is teaching us the Wonnarua language and sharing dreamtime stories with us.

This semester we have Gymnastics on Tuesday and the instructors are teaching us some clever skills.

On Thursday we have ES1 games and sport where we have lots of fun learning new skills with the other Kindergarten classes. On Thursday afternoon ES1 have PBL- Zones of Regulation lessons to learn about feelings and how we can solve problems and manage our own behaviour.

On Friday we have Library with Mr Duck. We have the opportunity to borrow a book each week so it is important that we remember to bring our Library bag to school on Friday. After we borrow a book we are learning a variety of computer skills including logging on and off with our name and password and how to use a mouse competently.

On Friday afternoon we have Kindergarten cooking where we make something tasty to eat based on the sound we have learnt during the week.

In KR we focus on the importance of using manners and kind words, working collaboratively with others and always being ready to try new and challenging activities.
