Playground radio
CWPS Playground radio is an extra curricular activity offered to K-6 students at Cessnock West Public School.
The playground radio activity has been established to cultivate and nurture the unique talents of our students and enable them to express themselves creatively through music, drama and technology.
The playground radio activity has been designed to reinforce the school's peer support program. It focuses on developing communication skills, self-confidence and self-esteem and creates an environment where improving communication between students, their peers, teachers, parents and caregivers is an achievable goal.
Students present their prepared radio show on the school's playground radio each lunch time, with a mixture of music, news, jokes & competitions.
If your student is interested in participating, please ask them to speak to Miss Guilmartin.
We need parental help to help the students prepare their shows. If you'd like to find out more about helping out, please contact the school and ask for Miss Guilmartin.
