In NSW primary schools, the study of a language is optional.
Language study allows students to develop communication skills, learn about languages as systems and explore the relationship between language and culture. Students engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of societies and reflect on their understanding of social interactions.

We wish to acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of this land, Darkinjung to the south, Awabakal to the east and Wonnarua to the north-west. We extend this respect to the Elders of the past and present along with acknowledging the Elders of the future, our students in our schools. This land is, was and always will be traditional Aboriginal land.
