Cessnock West Public School was built in 1920. The school currently has 375 students and a team of staff committed to improving educational outcomes for students.
Cessnock West Public School is a proud member of the Cessnock Community of Great Public Schools (CCGPS) which encompasses the sixteen public schools serving the Cessnock community. We pride ourselves on providing excellence in student education, innovation in our teaching and learning practices and striving consistently for high academic success in NAPLAN, school and classroom based results. We not only pride ourselves on academic excellence but also sporting and cultural pursuits. The school has strong community support and we all focus on developing students for the future through our three core values: respect, responsibly and learning.
